About

Who is the baby nurse in your pocket?

Nursea grew out of one idea: put baby nurse Betül Bağçeci’s clinical experience into an app. This page explains who writes the content and how it is produced.

“I never want a mother to feel alone at 3 a.m. wondering ‘is this normal?’ I poured my clinical experience into this app, so there’s always a nurse in your pocket.”

Betül Bağçeci

Baby nurse and founder of Nursea. Working one-on-one with mothers in newborn and infant care, she kept hearing the same question: “Is this normal?” Every Nurse’s Note in Nursea, every message in the rule engine and every article on this blog is written and approved through her eyes.

Why Nursea exists

Ordinary trackers pile up numbers; Nursea reads them through a nurse’s eyes. From pregnancy to the first birthday it tracks feeding, sleep, diapers, growth and maternal health in one place, and on every log it informs you, reassures you and points you to a doctor when needed.

How the content is produced

Sources are the Turkish Ministry of Health programmes (vaccine schedule, newborn screening), the WHO Child Growth Standards and the guidelines of international paediatric associations. Every article is written from a nurse’s perspective, published with a publication and review date, and updated when the evidence changes.

What Nursea does not do

It does not diagnose, does not give medicine doses and does not replace a doctor’s examination. Its purpose is to make sense of your worry and point you to the right place at the right time. For urgent symptoms, always call emergency services and your doctor.

Our content principles

  • Evidence-based: personal opinion is kept apart from general guidance, and sources are listed at the end of every article.
  • Warm, non-judgemental language: the “is this normal?” question is met with reassurance first.
  • Every health article ends with a “when to see a doctor” section; emergency signs are stated plainly.
  • No doses, no diagnoses: the medicine, its dose and interval are always the doctor’s decision.
  • Articles are dated; content that changes yearly, such as the vaccine schedule, is reviewed every year.
