Deleting your data and account
You can delete your Nursea account and all your data at any time, without asking anyone. Deletion happens inside the app; you don’t need an account to use the app.
Deleting from the app
- Open Nursea and go to the Me tab in the bottom menu.
- Open the “Privacy and my data” section.
- To delete everything including your account, tap “Delete my account”; to keep your account and delete only your records, tap “Delete all my data”.
- Read the warning and confirm. Because the action cannot be undone, confirmation is asked twice.
What gets deleted
- The encrypted database on your device: baby profile, all tracking records, illness episodes, pregnancy records, journal and memories.
- Photos saved by the app.
- App settings and reminders.
- “Delete my account”: your cloud account and all backup records and photos on the server.
- “Delete all my data”: if cloud backup is on, your backup records and photos on the server are deleted too; your account remains.
Deletion cannot be undone. If you want to keep your records, export them before deleting.
What is not deleted or is kept
- Subscription and purchase records are held by Apple and Google. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription; cancel it separately in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Order and invoice records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.
- Ad-measurement events previously transferred to Meta are subject to Meta’s own retention rules (facebook.com/privacy/policy).
If you want a backup first
The “Export my data” option on the same screen gives you all your records and photos as a single file. You can keep that file and import it later.
If you cannot access the app
